Clown Knife predator tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes that will work if the aro is large, the ck grows fast so you need to choose fish that will not be outgrown and killed, but not to large and aggressive that the ck is in danger when young. Dats grow slow so you need large dats, ornate bichir but get one that is large or it may end up an expensive worm . You should do 600g and do big cats when the ck is huge p.s BIG DATS BIG$$$$$$

you can try a few gars...like the florida gars...or if you want you can try some schooling Freshwater Barracuda ( Red Tailed Barracuda ) not the hujeta as they are not that great but if you want you can do a school of hujetas too if you want.

i have 2 of my clowns in a 75 gallon tank. they are both about a foot long.
they do well with 2 managuense (jaguar) cichlids , 2 silver arowanas and a jardini.
atleast for me they do well.
okay sorry for derailing but i have to say it. now i know that my tanks are little overstocked so dont kill me on it but i have the best intentions for my fish and will provide them with a home. but i seriously hope thats a growout

Dats! Dats! Dats!

a silver aro gets a little big but you could do one. Dats and Large polypterus like endlicheri , bichir lapradei , ornatipinnis, endlicheri congicus would work very we'll the ornate (ornatipinnis) would be the only worrie as there the smallest getting to around 20'' so get a large one so it doesn't get eaten the others get plenty big and as for stealing the spot light don't worrie a clown knife doesn't have trouble holding your attention especially in a planted tank with some drift wood

I got a 8" CK in a 75gal right now with a tiger oscar, I plan to put a peacock bass with them once it get big enough that they don't eat um.
