Clown Knife Question

I have the Cichlid Gold in my lab and my cichlids won't eat it. I guess I'm bringing it home to try on the CK. Thanks!

I find that strange. If it isn't moving, my CK doesn't pay it any attention. I just watched her bite the head of a feeder, shake it, and let it go with massive lacerations. It's almost as if she likes to kill in addition to swallowing others whole.

I forgot to respond to your over eager JD's. Mine, especially the big male (6-7") will steal Massivore pellets from my bichirs. I have to make sure that I see the bichirs eat or at least occupy the big JD with a large pellet while I feed the others.
Do your JD and CK get along other than competing for food? How big is your setup?

years back i had a 18" ck and what i would do is buy about 30-40 feeders and then put them in my 10g tank that way i could regulate how much she ate... i would also feed her at night (mainly because i liked the sounds that would come out of my tank when she fed) and every once in a while i would give her baby nightcrawlers (that was fun to watch man she loved them worms... lol) there are alot of good ppl here that gave out some good info so don't know if this will help you out but thought i would give you some info about how i took care of mine...
