Hi, i have a new clown knife he's only 5" at the moment and i have him in a 35g grow out tank on his own. my plan is to grow him a bit bigger and move him to my 180g with my Oscar, texas, JD, red headed cichlid and three plecos (L027, L066, L200).
I would like to know how often i should be feeding him at the moment and what tims of day would be best to feed him? also what foods should i be feeding him?
Any feedback would be appreciated :)

You should feed the clown at night since it is active at night. The fish will adjust to your feeding time. You should train the fish to eat sinking pellet. Make sure the pellet is small enough to fit their mouth.

Thanks :)

So will one feed per night be ok for a growing fish, also all the info i have read on these fish says that they will only grow to 18-20" in an aquarium is this true?

I'd say feed it once during the day and once before lights out. It's really up to you. If you want it to grow faster, I'd say feed it 3 times a day and do water changes every 3-5 days. I feed my fish about once a day for my pred. tank and 3-4 times for my comm. tank.

Thanks, i'll be feeding him more than once a day then.

Mine doesn't have any spots will these develop as he grows or will he just not have any?

You may have either Notopterus Notopterus or Chitla Lopis. Got any pics? The difference with these guys is that N. Notopterus will get about 12"-15" and C. Lopis will get 40"-48"

Hard to tell from the blurry pics, but that doesn't look like a ck. more like an african black knife. probably best, since a ck would outgrow your 180 anyway.
