Ok so i been thinkin boit gettin one for a long time but the only store that has em is far away... AFTER I DID RESEARCH i decoded ot was worth it... Im jw is there anything i need to know that u guys can tell me from ur experiences? Like you only know when u have one type of info lol

A better way to get feedback would be to type so that it is half way understandable....

CK will need at least a 180 at full size in my opinion. They mostly like feeders but in my experience will easily switch to prepared foods.
They will usually hide during the day unless your feeding them.

I find my knife fish to be very territorial towards any fish that gets too close to it's cave. It loves to hide all day and swims all night. I'd switch it to prepared foods as mine eats 3-4 minnows a day if available in tank. It's only around 12" so I can imagine the cost of live food by full grown....$$$
 
My rck was pretty terrtorial towards everything. They are generally peaceful until around 15" in my opinion and will not tolerate any other knifefish species in the same tank. Knifes are easy to switch to frozen foods like talapia and shrimp (try to stick with fish fillet and pellets). They are generaly inactive during the day but will learn to reconize you as the food source and come to greet you. Sparcly decorated aquarium is best as they are very stong fish and will most likely rearrange your decor for you on a nightly baisis.

My clown is very friendly towards other fish (brown knife, angels, rainbow shark, I'd, shark) and goes crazy over pellets and frozen blood worms. He will eat as much food as you give him lol. He didn't eat for me at first but now I can get him to stop haha!

as far as ck's, as they mature, they tend to become more territorial. so if u thinking of housing one in a community tank, choose tank mates that could fend themselves.
 
My clown knife has grown from 3" to 16" within a year. He is very active in the 150g tank. I feed him a regular earthworm everyday. He also eats shrimp pellets. When he was small I had to cut the worm up in little pieces but now he takes the whole worm out of my hand. I expect him to grow to around 20" Don't have any other small fish in the tank for they will be eaten.
 
just make sure you have a large enough tank for the ckf. My royal is extremely active he eats pellets and cichlid sticks. I can hand feed him and he is a very good pet.
