Thanks bro, just out of curiosoty how big is he?

Np & I got mine when he was about 2 inches (which was about 20 days ago) and now he is about 3.5 - 4.5" :D

alot depends on the CK its self.mine refuses all tank mates and chases them constant.kept mine on live until reached 8" then stopped feeding him for 1 or 2 days and he started eating tilapia.once he reached 12" i did the samething and added massivore to his diet.the thing now never hides, followes when i walk by and will lunge so its faces clears the water to grab at food wont attack myself or my wife while cleaning the tank.atm he is 23" roughly.

That kind of makes me doubt wanting to get one. If it does not work with the other fish I will only have the 100g to keep him in and no one in my area will have the tank to take care of him.

It all depends on the fish man, I'm sure it would work out if you got one. Mine is in a tank with a parrot cichlid and a gold severum and hes fine with them; never any chasing or anything.

Hi every1 I was wondering if any1 has ever housed a clown knife with nandus nandus leaf fish before and if so what the out come was and how quick the clown will grow as the nandus grow very slow they are all in a 200g tank thanks

What kind of response is this? Did you have CK's before this current one of yours? A lot of fish would change temperament during growth cycles, e.g jardinis would go nut after reaching 12", so I wouldn't make that recommendation unless you've raised one to maturity.

Clown knifes get pretty big so make sure that your cichlids are of the larger variety or are aggressive. From my past experiences keeping them, they tend to leave things that are too big to fit in their mouth alone.

I really think a lot depends on the individual fish in question. My royal clown knife is highly aggressive/territorial. He has killed a ton of tank mates even things bigger than he is. When he isnt murdering cell mates he hides underneath "his" stump which the largest piece of driftwood in his tank. Plus, he has been a nightmare to transition off live foods. Easily my least favorite fish in the collection.

my knifefish was fine as long as there wasnt a hudge size difference in takemates, keeping wellfed will help too
