I've noticed my clown knife seems to like swimming through tight openings at first I thought he was 'itching' and considered most of the aforementioned but after testing and re-testing I really think he just likes swimming through tight spaces.

Probably just looking for a nice place to hide, Mine also are consistently exploring and slipping through the smallest spots in the pile of driftwood that i have for the bichirs, they could swim over or around it easily but instead they squeeze through the branches and stick there faces into every nook/cave to see whats in there lol
