At that size I would definately recommend a UV. When I first put my 100 clown loaches together at that size they did good for about a couple weeks but still got ich. My water temp was at 86 and still no help. I added a 15w UV and it helped tremendously. I love when huge numbers of loaches school and dart in the same direction.

I've lost more fish in the short time of using UV than the long time that I never used it. Coincidence? maybe....but my UV stays off lol.

same, I exspect some to die on the way here, hope not though. I have a uv hooked up to the tank already, not sure if i'm gona keep it on or not.

I'd put half in the 108 and half in the 180 or at least split them up some kind of way.
