I really need a good clean up crew because my Frontosa are soo lazy and scared sometimes unless starving to come out and chase the food

How many fronts u got mate they shouldnt be hiding???

Ive got a school of loaches in with mine they are a schooling fish so you will need at least 5 if you want to see them during the day! don't really know about them as cleanup crew could try plecos but they just about poop more then they eat

I got 6 CLs and 6 fronts, all over 5" and had them together for a few years now with never a problem. They go well together if your water params allow. I have a neutral ph.

They will be a much better 'clean up crew' than synos.

Thanks everybody for your reply. I now have 7 Clown Loach ranging from 2 inch to 4 inch along with my 10 Frontosa size 2-4 inch in my 135 gl Tank. It seems that my 4 smallest clown loach are more active than my other 3 bigger ones. The bigger clowns loach are always hiding in a cave and never come out when feeding time even when the lights are out. I love my smaller ones because they are so active on finding food even when the lights are on thus they are fat and juicy .
I even try to over feed my frontosa in hoping that my bigger loaches will come out later to eat the left overs but i ended up getting yucky Planaria worms :(

My frontosa and loaches are getting along just fine. At first my frontosa was very curious and follow them around but now they just ignore them. I feed them both on NLS and some times Mysis shrimp. I just hope later my bigger loaches will come out and eat any time of the day like my smaller loaches.

Will update you guys and take pictures when i clean my tank from those nasty brown algae.

Don't get frustrated if you don't see them all out at once for awhile. Can take CLs awhile to establish a pack sometimes. Your fronts will take a long time to outgrow them and by then they should be a fat pack. It's good to start growing your loaches now rather than later. :)
