CLOWN LOACH QUESTION

Hide and Seek is one of their favorite games.

They probably aren't burrowing. I had a few modestas that burrowed often but clowns rarely. At least I haven't seen them burrow ;)

Mine hide until feeding time, except for the big one. He lays in the front of the tank and falls over on his side and stays that way till he wakes up.

ive only just noticed that small clowns burrow. it seems to me that they do it when theyre scared or startled. and even when i tried to poke them to get them to get out, they burrowed deeper...knuckleheads:screwy:. my clowns at home used to hide behind the heater...until they got so big and strong that they pop the suction cup off of the side of the tank. i'm a personal fan of natural decor...natural plants, driftwood, rocks. that way the plants give, the wood can be cut or broken easily and the rocks are generally smooth and the holes are either huge or tiny.

mine used to hide everywhere...
