clown loach question?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You can probably get away with that stock for 5 years, but I think you'll be pushing it towards the end. You'll most likely have to increase your water change schedule as time goes on.

Ok sounds good I mean it might not even be 5 years it may be only 3 or 4 but will see and yeah I'm excited to get some loache's I will have to wait until June but still!:)

I didn't see what size the loaches are now. If you get the most common 2" ones, you will easily get 5-8 years before it matters. If you do get at that size, get many more than you want Kong term. The mortality rate is usually high with small ones.

They will be fine for 5 years or so like other members have said. After those 5 years, you can sell those clown loaches for big $$$

So I have good news it still will not happen until june but I found a 210 gallon! I want to do this stock for it. There will be 1 Oscar, 5 clown loaches, 8 silver dollars, 1 featherfin catfish, 1 firemouth cichlid!.

Individual behavior can be different, but when I had an Oscar, my clowns hid all the time. Also the growth rate is much faster with the Oscar. That could be an issue if you get small clown loaches.
