If the plastic plants disappear we'll just call them the goats of the aquarium =P

But I plan on doing plastic but was wanting to do some Java Moss and Vals to help with Nitrate.

i've not seen anything survive the little buggers.
i also go with plasitc, and they dig them up, i end up
replanting about every two weeks.

Damn, I guess I won't be able to do live plants. Maybe since I'm moving the angels and Loaches from my current tank I can plant it a bit.......just the low light stuff.

I have a planted CL tank.
Right now I have

Corkscrew Vallisenaria
Wisteria both stem and bunch
Broad Leaf Ludwigia
Saggitaria Chilensis
Java Fern both regular and Mose Horn
Onion plant
Tiwan moss
Java moss

All of these plants have done very well with my Cls. I have 9 right now. All are between 3-5 inches. All though I do notice little bite holes in the plants here and there. But its not enough o kill the plants.

I keep plants in my tank with loaches no problem.
If they start eating them, then you probably need to feed them more veg.

That's been my experience as well. Its doable you just need to make sure they're well fed or they'll munch on your plants more.

ordering a bunch of plants and from what I've read- its a hit and miss with the java ferns, so far they've left the tiny anubias alone the sole plant in the tank.
