i have been offered some giant 10inch clown loach just wondering if anyone has kept them and if i will have any problems

just make sure they dont take all the food otherwise should be no problem

i don't think it will be a problem, but whatever you do DON'T PASS UP THOSE LOACHES!!!

I keep a pack of 15 clowns ranging from 4 - 8in with my rays.

They all get along and the clowns will even rest on top on the rays. I think the rays like it thinking that its added cover! LOL

Only thing to watch out for are the fact that clowns often get ick, so be sure to quarnt. them first!!!

you know what ick was my main concern :D

i do 2 x 25% water changes per week and the temp drops from 86 to 80 in 79 in the winter would this temp drop be enought of a chill to bring out ick regular

dont see a problem just top off with some warm water instead of cold maybe add another heater in the winter...

i think it would look sweet with 10inch clown loach in with my black rays but i think its just to risky

they are wild caught and i have no space to quratine them

Rays can't catch it and so long as you keep temp above 85 then the loaches should be O.K. I have also been told that once loaches catch ick and recover they become imune to it.
