I've read anything from theyll outgrow it in like 5 months to 3 years. I know they are slow growers, but how slow? So, yay or nay? The ones at my pet shop are a little over an inch. I'd like at least 6 clown loaches and 6 cory cats.. But I'll just stick with the cory cats if the clowns are frowned upon.

I firmly believe to never buy a fish intending to buy a bigger tank as it grows, as this is MFK, most of you have probably heard stories about that haha.

Only 17, so I guess I have my whole life to buy a large tank for them. If it was more like 3 years, I'd take the dive.
I'll hold off, but would a 125 house them for life?

Is the tank size because of the schooling? Didn't think clown loaches got bigger than like 6-8". Can't remember seeing them bigger than 4 actually.

A 55 will easily last you a few years maybe more if you have good filtration.
