Clown loaches with bichirs

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't have clown loaches. But I do have dojos. They like to pile up on top of my bichir when he isn't moving (guess they confuse him for a loach). At first he hated it, now I guess he learned to live with it.

Can sub-ocular spines scratch the tank or damage the silicone seal? When my loaches are feeding I hear a crunching noise and that got me worried he may damage the silicone seal.
I doubt it. A lot of us keep clown loaches and none of us as far as I know have reported that spines can damage the sealant and tank glass.

hi..

I have 12" Delhezi Bichir with 5 CLs at about 4" Total Length. He doesn't bother them at all. The clownies like to rest on him like a couch. It's pretty comical.

I keep a Delhezi with my loaches too
