guys, i'm actually planning to get another knife and i've choosing between a royal or clown.. i've had a clown before but i lost it last june.. which one do you guys think is better looking especially as adults? cast your votes please :)

one thing i'd like to confirm though is if clown knives do change spots as they grow older from your own experience? my first clown knife which i grew from about 8" to 23.5" tip to tip was with me for 6 years and its spots considerably changed..

and here's a pic last june when i lost him (for no apparent reason i may add).. measured him at about 23.5" tip to tip here..

has anybody experienced this change as well? i moved mine in a 400 gal pond when it was about 18" (no changes in spots at that time yet).. so i never really witnessed the gradual change of the spots.. i'm not sure if this is only because its in a pond?

also, do royals have a similar change in their spots as well?

I love the more solid look of a clown knife.

since i already have a clown knife (as well as you did) i would go with a royal, plus i like their different spotting pattern, just my opinion though

I have always thought Royals were cooler. If you can find one, I'd take it over a regular clown any day. Better yet, get both.

Clown's often have their spot patterns change, don't know about royals. I think royal look better.
