Which one would you chhose to build your fish list around for a 7 foot x 2 foot x 2 foot tank and why you choose that fish and please state weather its just an opinion or actual experience

sohal or clown tang

sohal is gonna be crazy aggressive when he gets bigger (suaully). but if its an aggressive tank, i guess that wont matter. im partial to Sohal's, awesome fish. had one in a display at the store........no other tangs for sure, he'll beat the piss out of them. but he was in with an emperator angel, broomtail wrasse, banana wrasse, harlequin tusk, crosshatch trigger, and a saddleback grouper - all pretty big. and he was boss of the tank for sure. ive never acually kept a clown......very pretty though.

additional data

tank is up and running but looking about christmas time as stocking start date (hint to wife..fishy fishy fishy for christmas)

potential tank mates

Large angel(s)
Triggerfish(s)
Wrasse(s)

sorry.. i answered wrong.. i mean to post "clown from personal experience" instead of "sohal from personal experience"

out of the total 3 sohals and 4 clowns at work 2 of the sohals are crazy ape-poop insane. while the clowns are relatively mellow.. if not more reclusive..

either one would work the same, but i think the clowns look a little (tiny bit) better.. if you add them last or near the end of the stocking period they shouldn't be as much trouble

Either way, put the Sohal or clown in last. Either one can be super aggressive but if you put them into an established tank they can be more mellow. If you put it in first and let it get established, it's going to kick the crap out of any new fish........especially tangs.

I had a 6" sohal and it was the best looking fish I had but it was the meanest also and I have triggers, groupers, large angels. Constantly was picking on someone for no reason

thanks for the replys.. still debating the subject of which one to get or if i want the agression.. but the tank is going to be an agressive tank such as large angels(mainly) a trigger and a tang or 2 depending on if i do the sohal/clown or not

^^^^^^^^ yeah i like them as well infact several months ago divers den had one about 8 inches that was 300 bucks..i kept debating about it and then i went out of town for a few days and it was gone when i got back..thats what you get if you dont buy that fish you want one divers den when you see it
