tank size is not critical for percula clowns, I would lean toward a tank raised clown. Once they pick an item to host they don't stray too far. If you are going to buy 2 I would make sure one is larger than the other and they will get along fine.

I have mine in a 20 long, does fine. Damn thing is hosting the corner of the tank behind the black bezel, I never see it!

I also have a Peppermint shrimp and a small clean up crew.

I have seen a variety of gobies but not much else. Most Inverts will do fine.

Use this link: http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/general.cfm?general_pagesid=472, select a fish you like and read the description. This site is pretty good for accuracy in regards to tank size.

Should I get a pair of them also What do they eat?? And would firefish or blue green chromis be compatable with them? Thanks!

IMHO a chromis will do ok, but 20 gallons is a bit small for them. I say yes, get a pair of clowns. I don't think a firefish will work.

I stand corrected on the firefish, they will be perfect, I was thinking of something else, sorry.

thankyou for that website, it's really helpfull!

edit- anyone else have a cool idea that would work with clownfish?

not a tankmate suggestion, but
every clown i've kept has zoomed right into this little beauty. perc pair, ocell pair, single tomato, single pink skunk, at one point or another. there's a real deep hole in there, and it's a pretty cool piece to add to the rockscape.

goby/shrimp pair? a gramma or dottyback for some colour?

It would be really cool to have a shell like that in the tank. Lol im going to be searching the reefs or beaches to find one lol! So im thinking about doing clown pair and a fire fish. Do you think a Yellow Watchman goby would be too much with the three other fish?
(they are just so cute)
Thanks again!
