Yes or no? Ive read a lot of threads from awhile ago saying that its ok. I really like them and was thinking about getting probably 3. I knwo they get larger and i do plan on getting another tank in the future. I hear they are pretty slow growers also. Think it will be alright??

:thumbsup:/:thumbsdow

clown what? clown loaches? And what kinda of mbuna? gonna have to be alot more specific

If you are talking about Clown Loaches, I would avoid it. Clowns do not do well in high pH environments. Their osmoregulation is thrown off balance. They often exhibit patchy deposits on the skin and will not live a full life. Can they survive? Yes. Is it the proper environment for the animal? Definitely not.

clown loaches, and my mbunas so far are a albino socolofi, lab, red zebra, blue cobalt. and i need to post a pic of the other to get it IDed.

didnt see this post but i agree

I keep two 5"s in my mbuna tank.
If I didn't the snails would be everywhere. I don't have any patch deposits on the skin and if I did they would immediately be removed from the tank. They have been in there for about a year now.

ewurm is right though, just cause they can survive, doesn't mean its an appropriate environment
