Clueless lfs

Had an umbee that was a third wheel to a pair once. Took it to a lfs told them it was an umbee really beautiful and somewhat rare fish. Dude saw it and got excited and said mbuna? I was like no its an umbee it's s/a. His face fell and he says ok I guess we'll take it hows $20... SHH
Wanted to say umbee are cichlids mbuna are snacks, I could get triple that if I felt like shipping but $20 is better than a dead fish so sadly I had to take the deal
I once overheard a convo between a costumer and the lfs worker and the guy wanted to buy two juvenile Red Devils. He asked how big do they get and he goes 6" max. I laughed and the worker looked at me. I go I breed Red Devils my female is 9" and the male is 15.5". He goes you don't know what you're talking about. Showed him pictures and videos and he just stopped talking. The costumer started talking to me and he asked he if he can get someone else with more knowledge on fish. His face was priceless he was so pissed.

Yeah,I have been in places like that back when we had plenty of shops here.....and made a few come ups because of it too.
I always thought Fronnies were like that hot chick with the personality of a stale bottle of beer . I always liked an African tank myself but now I've tried Americans there's no going back. In my experience though Venustus are full of personality & Pulpicans are an amazing little fish, beautiful colours & full of gusto.
