CO2 proof?

So I was at the LFS and came across some silicone airline tubing. One question poped in my head. Because it's silicone, will it work for CO2 also? Or am I just being a cheapa$$ and I should stick with CO2 proof silicone tubing?

normal airline tubing works for co2, just as it ages it will crack and leak i think.
not sure how long before that happens

i use regualr air line for my DIY co2..its fine.. just wont last as long as the other stuff.

ive heard that the silicone stuff is just as bad, if not worse than regular tubing. i remember reading a super technical article on how much co2 escapes using non-co2 tubing. try doing a google search

and if you feel like getting real fancy, leave it the folks at barrreport.com. more than you ever wanted to know about co2 tubing. some good arguments on both sides. i just buy the co2-proof tubing and not worry about it
