Nice, chunky female Ras! It'll be interesting to see how deep a red our females develop as they fully mature. Hope they look like Rapp's female photo!

Here's a crappy photo of the juvenile cobras last January...

Guys are we talking Tapajos 1 or 2 here,i have a group of 5 young Tapajos 2,the only difference i can see in the juvies is the red edge to the dorsal in mine?,will post some pics later

Nice lookin cobras Daz, good photo! The front one must've just eaten - has a belly bulge, pellets? What size??
Tapajos I pikes are 'tapajos reds', Cobras are Tapajos II. Keep an eye on them as they grow, a friend bought 6 and ended up with the dominant one, which killed everyone else.
We were lucky our trio always got along, and really happy to have a compatible pair!
Good luck with yours!!

Hi MTM,
I have 5 of these and had to remove the dominant fish(7") or he would have killed the rest for sure, now he's out they get on fine
They range from 4" to 7" but are growing real fast, they will eat anything but pellets, earthworms, krill, prawns, cockle, muscle
The pics are about 2 months old and they were when they were first imported, thanks for the comments:)
