Cobra pike rampage

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Gonna be pretty hard. Ken Davis (Fish Farm) has a large female right now, already colored up. That right there is an awesome fish, and totally worth it. You should look into it.

Check Aquabid.com and Jeff Rapps (www.tangledupincichlids.com), they occassionaly get stuff that is good! ;)

I sold out of cobras a long tme ago. Maybe more this Fall when the fry come into season. Occationally wild adults show up on the list but usually just 1 or 2 at a time. Ken

It's funny you should ask, I tried putting Melissa back into the 180. I put her in an acrilic 5 gallon tank to transport her from my 55 to the 180. I held the 5 up against the 180 and the pike in the 180 shot up to the tank. Melissa started flipping out trying to get at the pike and splashed about 2 of the 3 gallons of tank water all over me. So I guess its not going to work.
While Melissa was in the 20 I got her to the point to were she eats from my hand. She didn't eat pellets so thats all I feed her for about 3 days. The pellets were Cichlid Bio-Gold. Later I put the pellets in a cup with enough water to cover the pelllets and let them sit overnight. They were mushy but held together well in the water. She ate a good deal more if the pellets were prepaired this way. I also noticed she is getting more red hues than the other two, not sure if this is because of the sex of the fish, or the bio gold (other fish eat mostly krill and worms)

As far as selling goes I was thinking of putting her up for bid at aquabid. I won't get around to listing her till next weekend. If anyone is interested make me an offer .... PM me

I'll get a new pic of it up soon. The fish is an unsexed 6" Crenicichla sp. Red Tapajos (cobra pike)

It is a Cr. sp. "Tapajos II", Cobra Pike. Not to be confused with a Cr. sp. "Tapajos I", Flame Pike. There is no such thing as a Cr. sp. "Red Tapajos".

Using the term "Red Tapajos" is just going confuse the hell out of everyone...
