what do you guys think is 'the real deal'...? Red PIKES are really incredible -
at the moment we are growing a couple . . . . they glow when feelin good.
we do our best to make them feel - - - Y A H !!!!!!
tapajos red are indeed glowing red..totally agree with you there. I was talkin about the red atabapos that Rapps had. Haven't seen pictures of them but i talked with a friend of mine in Japan (he sees all of Rapps fish first... ) and he said that they aren't true atabapos but sp. cf. 'lugubris atabapo'...which is just another variant of lugubris species. According to him they won't get quite as red as cobras or tapajos reds....IF you did get some of those red atabapos from Jeff..PLEASE post pictures of them, cuz I am still trying to decide if i want some or not.....would be most helpful if i could actually see what they look like..haha
peanut breath, I also have red atabapos from rappers and they are really starting to turn red. They were the smaller ones that he had but growing fast. I'm really starting to like pikes and must get more. who is that mtn pike dude anyway??
Right, post some pictures of those red atabapos...really am curious. if they ARE turning out nice, I might have to get some, but i heard from several respectable sources that they won't get as nice as the true atabapos. They are actually Crenicichla sp. lugubris cf red atabapo or sumptin like that. Basically they are a variant of lugubris that looks like atabapo. Complex to say the least.
BTW....what DID happen to MTN Pike any who...haha........if you happen to talk to him or his wife, let him know that I am moving down to Mississippi and need to down size my pike collection, namely the TRUE strigata and lent...
Well, I suppose you could come steal the three I have.... ...but you might loose an arm, a leg, and a ear in the process...haha. Took a lotta searchin, and A LOT of patience....
