Cocktail Shrimp?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's "OK" but, not as good as raw shrimp. Many of the nutrients are boiled out and amino acids are altered from the boiling process. Also, don't be surprised if some fish don't like it. Many of mine feed readily on raw shrimp but, turn away or spit out cooked shrimp.

I get the bags of frozen raw shrimp, they have them in different sizes and dont cost too much.

Its made for human consumption... I'm pretty sure it'd be fish safe.

So is candy... :grinno:

I've recently started buying market shrimp for my plecos (first time i've ever bought shrimp, not a fan myself). I just pickup 3-4 shrimp at a time and add 1 a night till they're gone, then get more when I go grocery shopping a few days later. At first I kept the shell on, but now I usually peel them. Otherwise I have to fish out the shells in the morning which I'm usually not thinking about, nor wanting to do, that before work.

So...+1 to Oddball's reply.

Yeah I'd assume frozen raw is better than frozen cooked.

but I'd also assume fresh raw is better than frozen raw.

Thank you I think I'm going to go with frozen raw and thaw them out for fedding.

Thanks everyone for your input =)
