I feed nightcrawlers and someone said you can give them coffee grounds to plum them up. Will it harm the rays?

That's an old fishing trick. You really should purge the worms before feeding rays. (keeps the tank cleaner too).

I saw on Dirty jobs they feed worms, bread, just throw a little piece on top of the dirt in the worm container. should be set! they like the yeast?!!? i think its the yeast atleast

I feed my worms coffee grounds and corn meal. I think I'd feel safer feeding them corn meal if I was feeding them to a ray.
I'm not saying it WILL harm them. I mean I feed my worms to my fish and so far I haven't had any problems. I'd just be more careful with rays.
Yeah...but they're RAYS...black gold...texas tea...you know what I mean. Now I'm gonna have to give those worms to the pbass. I'm not taking any chances. Speaking of nightcrawlers though, I get mine from Wal-mart. Great price! 24 count for $2.88!!! I'm not supposed to shop there but just cant resist.
Another place to look for some is try to find someone that sells them for composting. You can get about a pound for around $20.
FYI - 1LB = roughly 1,000 worms.
