Some things never change--- the quality of your photos and fish. Looking great.

The more I see your mokes, the more they are climbing my list of favorites

Thank you brother. I've been inspired by magpie magpie setup, and am planning to create a similar heavily planted setup for the UJ tank.

Mokes will always be my top favorite bichir. I think these are the nicest ones I've owned.

Ah, external lighting! I have one, I should try that. I assumed it would glare in the glass but I guess you find the right angle.

Thanks for the kind comment! Can't wait to see your planted setup.

Using the onboard flash as a master, it will show up as a small white rectangle if not angled correctly.

Wow great pics, makes me want to get a good camera

Worth the investment if you enjoy photography.

Definitly will be asking you for tips once i get a decent camera again great photos looking forwards to watching these guys grow

Beautiful photos! The dels and the mokes look great! Thanks for the tip with the feeding too. Man you are really making me want a moke. The one in the photo looks awesome with the green head, almost ornate striped pec fins, and those cool patches of color. Absolutely breathtaking.

I can't wait to see them fully settled in! I need to figure out my lighting and substrate, i'm not happy with the setup right now, i don't think they'll look their best, and i'm not really into garnet sand anymore.

I think black sand is really good on UJ

That's true if you wan't to make their green color pop, but not all bichirs have the right ammount of green. Some just get really dark, like delhezi, and its not the look i'm going for, for my personal tastes.

Personally, I would only go with black sand if I was specifically hunting for bichirs that display a high ammount of green and wanted to show that off.

I'm looking for something more natural looking than garnet sand, but that still makes the bichirs show off a balanced contrast and color.

It will be interesting to see what you going to get, maybe a grey sand will looks nice, not to dark and not to bright, wont make the polys dark but enought shade to pop the green contrast from them.
