Cohazards Polypterids (plus full tank shot)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I thought the aquascaping on your old tank was world class, but this one might actually surpass it. I think your tanks encourage others to raise the bar on their fishkeeping. Simply outstanding and as others have said, good to see you back in the game.

BTW your substrate still rocks.

Very nice aquascaping there, Serg! Great looking bichirs! Nice to have you back. :) Looking forward to seeing more bichirs in your tank.

Thanks Hao :)

I'm not sure if I'm gonna add anything else. I was supposed to only have one species for the intention of breeding them buuuut collecting bichirs is an old vice of mine that is hard to break.

Every day I fight the urge to get some palmas polli. :nilly:

Thank you bro, very kind words. :headbang2

I want to take out some of the lace rock on the left and maybe the swap out the center driftwood piece, I want them to have more swimming space.

If I can find another arching piece like the one on the right, that would be perfect!

I will try to have a more active presence, help out more with the noobs, but time is the one thing I have least of now a days, on top of a strict budget lol

I want to get caught up on your setups! You guys need to start throwing out more pics please, consider this the official request! Have you changed your setup? I remember really liking the dark substrate and background with the amazon swords, reminded me of my 120g that i miss sooo much.

Co, I will get a FTS thread going one of these days. Tank has changed a bit, new substrate and no more real plants (darn bullhead). I have reduced the amount of decor in the tank as the poly's have grown. I have also become a little guilty of some mild overstocking. Although I am planning to change over to sand and add a 3 D background this summer. I really got got up in the look of Inflblue's tank from the old thread that was resurected

Great looking tank!
Would love to go planted with my tanks but unfortunately they all house fish that would just destroy them.

Good work!

Seriously me too! I've been tempted to switch out my substrate for a tanish brown sand, or use similar smooth gravel but in multi color stone, but it's not as consistent grain size as this grey substrate.

I've thought about those 3d backgrounds, but they take up so much space, really needa 3ft wide tank, but the effect is awesome like Joey's discus/earth eater tank.

Great looking tank!

Thanks bro, yeah the plants are sometimes a handicap with picking fish. Some 3 bar silver dollars would've been cool.

wow ... nice jungle tank n polys/rf inhabitants :D

Thank you azura. :)

Tank looks fantastic Cohazard! Love that aquascape

Thank you bro! But like Burbotman, I gotta take out some driftwood or rocks to free up swimming space, especially with the new ropes I just got today.

Haha palmas yeah more like moke! I'm glad your keeping poly again bro you gotta come by sometime!

Fo sho hermano, I live in Riverside now though, but we'll plan a trip to some LFS in july.
