Their migration is triggered by different stimuli than birds, ie: temperature, not magnetic fields or the position of the sun.

It is ludicrous to truly believe that we can pump millions of tons of a gas known to absorb certain parts of the infrared spectrum into the atmosphere and not change the planet's average temperature.
