coldwater rays?

I don't think so. Maybe some salwater but I'm not sure.

Freshwater rays are from columbia, peru, brazil rivers... all those climates are warm. so no FW rays will suit in cold weather

I imagine Skate is a cold water - Marine Ray as they live in UK waters...they do not have stings but I think they are still classed as Rays.

p. brachyura documented in Uruguay/Agentina boarder are cold tolerant and gets huge, this ray is pretty rare in the hobby. I've seen a pair in Japan, 3 feet across. The weather gets down to 30s during the winter, sometimes a few snow flakes.
