Theory is can say no to overtime, but in practice is not easy. Must prove to boss that you have carer responsibility to attend to sexual requirements of father-in-law with Alzheimer's. Even so, if boss willing to substitute for your carer role in looking after your father-in-law's sexual needs, then you will still have to work the overtime.

So even if im not a full time employee just a temp worker i have to do the overtime and if i refuse i don't get unemployment?

Overtime is not mandatory. Your obligation is 40 hours a week. They can't terminate you so why do you think you can get unemployment?. Your contract may allow them to let you go anytime they want. That's just part of being a job shopper.

Because the boss came up to me today and said if i didn't do the mandatory overtime he might have to replace me and i would get no unemployment because i refused work.

if its mandatory its mandatory.it sucks but work it.now if he is coming up to you at 2 o clock and telling you your staying late you might have a foot to stand on.in nd i think their reuired to give you 24 hour notice

If it's mandatory overtime for everyone then you have to do it or risk being fired. If he just wants you to work it then thats a little different. By being a temp worker you have even fewer rights than a full employee does, it sucks but thats the way it works.
