Collected Rocks from the shore of Lake Erie

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's pretty cool oddball, I think I may go look for some...I live right by lake erie.

thanks for the info oddball, for sure going out collecting for these and more sandstone too. I really want a large one in my tank, they look like old turtle shells (that's what I thought they were, just filled in by rock over time until I read the description)

There's some Metro parks close by that I like to go to for collection sandstone and slate and I always find some pretty cool pieces.

if you go to evangola state park right down the coast from buffalo on the beach they raked all the stones into a giant pile and you can find so much in there, its nuts. probably some petrovsky stones too its like 10 feet tall and 20 feet wide all beachrocks

the larger ones in the top pics on the left are what I believe to be different sandstones, then on the far right there are some of the "tiger rocks". The pics 2 down are the smaller ones id likd to use to accent my ten gallon, and the ones in the small group on the very bottom are especially of interest to me, I would really like to get those guys in a tank

sorry for the wait on the pics, been on vacation and not at home where I could get the pics
