You have to have an import license. And depending on the country possibly a vet certificate (gotten there). Even with all that, customs may delay or grab your fish.

I was also planning on importing fish from Australia, Africa, and South American countries. I want to collect them myself like you and breed/sell them.
I thought that I'd need some sort license, but on the way home from Luxemburg, I was told that all I need to do is claim the fish when I get back to my country. <--- I guess this is wrong though.

So how/where do I get an importing license?

I'd also like to see some underwater shots and maybe what kind of plants the cichlids are living with so I can get some for my tank.

maybe things like how you keep the fish alive while your there too.

THANKS!

good luck that sounds great. I saw some of those mexico videos and they are really interesting Im looking forward to some new ones

That's our goal. We are looking for Cryptoheros Altoflavus...currently not in the hobby. There's also the chance of getting that undescribed Chuco species. The most fun is not really knowing exactly what we'll find.

They ae on my site and on YouTube.

Primarily becasue of the difficulty in getting there. We have to travel over a large mountain range...part of the reason we will be camping out for three days.

But that's a good question to include. I should be able to illustrate that with the video.
I have a question... So how do you get in to go on this trip.... Or another one coming up... Is it an ACA planned trip?
