So get the permit and do it. I did a LOT of collection in Gulf waters when I was in Texas.

Great pics. I sometimes go collecting also by piers or shallow mangrove areas,etc .

My brother in law and I have been looking for true Florida fighting conch for months but not one.

Love the octopus have seen tiny one but didnt catch it. I go by Key west.

Did you keep all those ?
