I spent time and almost bought property back in the 90s when it was inexpensive, unlike today. Friends just came back from Lago Arenal where sport fishing for large dovii is quite popular.

Just curious, is it more expensive than Panama? Looking at property a few years back seemed cheap.

I have heard that Costa Rica is the most expensive place in Central America. Lots of European tourists have been going there for years, it's the most stable country in the region, and it has awesome surfing, too. So there's lots of different groups of people wanting to be in Costa Rica--very high demand.
