Nice shots of the cologne Aquarium. Didn't know that they have such a good one there. Personally, the Wilhelma in Stuttgart and the Exotarium in Frankfurt are my favourite german Aquaria.

These are awesome displays. I recently visited the Stockholm aquarium and the Paris aquarium and I was disappointed that the Paris aquarium did not have more freshwater displays. .
@sweed: Did you see the Vattenmuseet and the Aquarium of the Stockholm Zoo? I liked the Vattenmuseet more. Unfortunately everything's really expensive up there...
Cologne Zoo has quite a big aquarium with more freshwater than marine tanks. They also have a huge amazon tank with big paima, pacus and stingrays.
Never been to aquarium in Frankfurt, but Wilhelma is great. Although, probably the best Aquarium in Germany is Berlin Zoo Aquarium; awesome freshwater collection. I'd say the best i have seen so far in Europe.

I saw the Vattenmuseet. I loved the rainforest display they have there.
@h4781: Nice link, thank you. Looks like I should visit the Berlin Aquarium some time ;D
@sweeed: The rainforest display is nice. The phractos and rays are ginormous! Did you see when they show kids and visitors how far archer fish can shoot? They place crickets on a branch 1 metre above the surface and the fish shoot the crickets with deadly accuracy.
