I got this pair from Eddie Martin of Bluegrass Aquatics when they were around 6"M & 4" F. I later found out from Eddie that they came from Jeff Rapps' stock. Paid a pretty penny for them but at the time Umbees were very tough to come by. Turned out to be well worth it. Tough to find a better looking male.

No doubt in my mind that your 18" male is the coolest one i have ever seen.
Would you mind notifying me whenever you come across some fry, I would pick some up in a heartbeat.?
At what size should I be able to tell if my Umbee is male or female ? Is it true that males grow much faster than females during the baby stage ?
