Oscaroo youve posted like 10 times already I think he gets it. Also you shouldn't be giving turtle advice when you're not doing it yourself. Isn't you're Res in a tiny tank..... you're annoying..... in my oppion.

Looks like you are steering in the right direction now that's going to be so hard to dig up seeing from the pics lol looks like you have a good 4-5ft pile above the pond? Add your depth 8' that's 12ft of digging right there atleast

First of all it is my sisters turtle that I take care of. Second of all I threw fits to my parents demanding to get a larger aquarium. Third of all we already have the larger aquarium. No offense to OP but he was saying that they could live in smaller tanks so I said it every time he did that. OP-You were misinformed so I do not blame you I am just trying to point that out. no need to be nasty rutis. Sorry if you are having a bad day or something but please be respectful to others and stop flaming for no reason. Now lets drop the subject and get back to the thread.:D

I couldn't really get a good picture but all of this is already under ground it has an approximate 2 foot drop off and the border is still there all I need to do Is make another layer of rock put some pondliner then fill her up but it is really big and the border of it is still there and in some parts its still like the whole border all the way stacked but over time my dad took it down and just left it there he was going to make it into an addition of an inground pool but we didn't want to make one because it would be small and because I told him I want to make it back into a pond. So eventually it will be a pond but not until this summer when it starts because im going to need approximately 500 pounds of rock to make this probably more

I think you should start a thread in the pond section because a lot of us do not now about ponds.

Ok thank you guys I'm good up to here but I will wait until my turtles get around 8" or 9" because the raccoons around my area are complete douche bags meaning how they eat everything I have in my yard and I even shoot them with my really high powered pellet rifles and they still don't care if their friends die. One time when I first got my pool my dad filled it up with freshwater and no chlorine and dropped a ton of huge koi in there because it was so awesome to go swimming with fish this size and they were like anywhere from 7"-18" and they were awesome. So the fish started dissapearing and my dad put up some security cameras and guess who but the dick head raccoons eating all of them. They waited on my deck and reached their arms in and grabbed the fish! Then we put in chlorine and got rid of the fish because they werent as cool as we thought when they eat around as much as a small child. So now we kill the raccoons and feed them to the bears at my house in new York lol or coyotes whatever eats them first. And we usually trap the raccoons and sell them in new York. But the "pool" was like 15' by 5' high and we just ran it like a pool with no chlorine I'm not really sure how we did it you would have to ask my dad but it worked for a month or so then started to turn green and then a bunch of animals started seeing it as a fun spot lol. But anyways I have to wait until the turtles are larger because I don't want them as a bite size meal and they should have a little fight in them and I want to keep them in a 120 until full sized so they will be big enough. And when we finished with the kois we sold them to a local Chinese restaurant lol cheap sushi

I hate raccoons and possums to. I raised a snapping turtle from a baby to a monster I have him in another pond I have and he can fend off the raccoons he actually cought a possum once same with a raccoon. Perfect revenge after eating all my koi.
