Can anyone give me a few of the best color enhancing foods available for fish? I am wanting to bring the reds and turquoise colors out in my fish. I know that foods high in spirulena and high in carotinoids are great, just not sure which ones have the best content of these. Currently I am feeding spriulena flakes, Formula One, and frozen Krill, along with various other things, including Betta Bites...hahaha. Thankz in advance!! Much appreciated!! OH!! If its sinkin it would be much much better!! Floating doesn't get as much notice with my cichlids, plus the over flow is so powerful its not in the tank long enough for them to really eat it anyway.

Omega1 color enhancing food seemed to work very well for me. My fronts are small and still have wonderful color.

I was thinkin of OmegaOne, New Life Spectrum, and Arowana Sticks....just curious if anyone had any experience with any other types of color enhancing foods? I am really curious about the discus color enhancing foods, as well as some of the marine fish color enhancing foods. Finally, what about the foods used for Flower Horns? I'm sure i would get some results from that, but I don't want it to fade if i stop feedin it to them.

Hikari works for me, but I've been going to this Asian lfs and I buy the stuff that is'nt really name brand and some stuff are home made. Those work incredibly well. Find yourself and Asian dealer :D

not so easy around here. Hard enough to just find a LFS...lol basically gotta order everything. Either that or buy some stuff offa Phil...lol...he's practically like a LFS...haha

Gel-tek carrys some some color enhanceing stuff, never tried it but you could give it a shot.

For red colors I like bloodworms, and hikari cichlid gold.

One food I tried that I liked was Danichi. I has different foods to bring out different colors in fish. My fish loved it and it was great for colors. But it seems to make my water cloudy if the fish didn't eat it quick enough, but I think that was do to the montmorillonite clay they add to their foods. I may give it a shot again sometime.

New Life Spectrum is great too. I had really good results with my cichlids. The only downside is the price, but it is the worth it. That was the main diet of my cichlids till I got rid of them.
