Can't find my pics, I've got a couple of monos at around 6". Not wild caught just your regular run of the mill monos. I'll take a few pics and post soon.

Well, couldn't get good pic with camera, operator error of course. Shot some video (auto focus), looks pretty good, but now my camera won't talk to my comp. Will have to get someone smarter than me (the wife) to fix it. Hope to be able to post tomorrow.

How often do they grow after the first year its an inch a month for the 1st year right and cant wait to see what one of them looks like at 6" mines really close i did a water change 2 days ago and his colors exploded todayno red yet tho

1.5"-14'' in a year or so. A inch a month, then a growth spurt. Same fish.

So about 14" bye end of it's first year? And those are some nice looking cichla I'm entering him in a competition for looks in theflorida state fair I'm willing to bet he will win
