Anyone giving away a young/smaller (like 2-2.5") oscar? I have a friend who's two fish in her tank won't let her have any other fish, but we figure an oscar could hold it's own and not get beat to death like they do other fish. It would have a good home with a gal who really loves her fish.

hope you have a good trip. most of the stuff for sale around here will be in this thread or on craigs/crazed list. I don't know of any oscars like that around here right now. you could look at my blog entry. it has a list of all the N front range LFS that I know of and you could call them and see.

Thanks, any suggestions on things to do? We were going to try Long's Peak, but that's 1) suicidal and 2) closed for the winter.

EJKC, I'll ask if he's interested and let you know if he is.

yeah, Long's isn't to be done anywhere near this time of year. It's also a very hard climb especially if you're not in good shape and acclimated. Obviously, if you like to ski/board or other winter sports, then there's tons to do. I don't do a whole lot in the winter.

Greeley off of 11th Ave. on the East side a few blocks north of HWY-34. their web address is www.monsterreef.com

I was in there about a year ago and they still had basically the same stock up until a couple months ago. The first time I went, I thought they had a decent selection. Supposedly, at least according to the emails I've been getting, they've been doing better. I haven't been in for a while to confirm this, though.
