I fed him a lot of krill and chopped up redworms. I was wondering if maybe the krill had something to do with it...by the way i already have him eating out of my hand is that normal for a small silver.

mine has those peachy rainbowish colors. even has some intense green and blue, but its about 9". i hope that these colors will stay like this forever. i like these than the bold silver as they get older.

Cheat and use some of those special nan lights that some Asian aro owners do to bring out the reds. Don't like them myself personally

the pic posted by zennzzo is of my aro, he about a year old and his colors have gotten richer and deeper even since this photo was taken. I'm told he will lose color in time, but we'll see.

thats natural but i think silvers lose that color and have the true rusty mature silver color when adult. ive seen pics of wild silvers in the amazon and they all have that dark silver hue on their scales

feedind them cockroaches is the best colour enhancer food followed by crickets
they are rich in natural colour enhancers (carotenoids)
not many ppl go with the cockroach thing as they're yuccky

I like those colors on them and im not afraid to say thats a good looking fish!

I have seen large adults with the peach/pink color.

I think it has to do with the foods.
