Colored gravel won't come clean

Alright, I just decided to do a 100% water change so I could clean the whole tank now.

Where would be the best place for the poolfilter sand? Any pool store? Any specific brands?

use it in the garden lol..

switch to sand-i love it.

That's what I do with all the gravel I aquired buying used tanks. If anyone digs up the roses bushes at my house they are going to wonder what all the multi color rock is about.

Thats probably what I'll end up doing.

So, is there any specific type of filter sand I need to get? And how do I set up a prefilter on my AquaClear 70?

Might a bare bottom be easier? If not, what brand of sand and what type do I get?
