Colorful Convicts

Just cons, but the top one doesn't appear to be male. There have been females without the orange. I have raised a few. And of all the males I have raised, none of them had blue fins (granted there could be some out there with it), most were cream colored.

If so, then these two females just got down! lol
You can see the eggs kinda in the pic (in the highlighted region of course)
she blurred on me again, lol.
I've owned em about a week.

regular cons and dont think hikari made the colors show in no time like that its a selling ploy unless the food has hormones diet takes a little to set in

They had no coloring when I first purchased them and they were sold simply as 'Black Convict'. They were MONOTONE aside the female's orange spot.
I fed flake for 3 days as they can't fit the mini pellets in their mouths. Once I started them on a Hikari Gold diet (pieces chopped in half) these colors appeared.
There was no 'selling ploy' behind it. These fish were not 'pushed' to me as such nor will i be 'pushing' them, their kids are feeders.
So, I really don't understand what you're trying to say.
