i dont know i this is the right spot for this question. Anyways im looking for some good, colorful small to mid sized schooling fish. Any ideas? Oh also....freshwater. Water params around amazon type

try neon tetras . . . from what I understand, they are mostly farm-raised, while cardinals are more often wild-caught . . . because of this, the neons are generally hardier and more adaptable

Are you putting them in with the stock in your sig?
If so I dono whats gonna survive in there.
BTW im now a big fan of tiger barbs if you like those..crazy active, can swim in a real tight pack, and quick enough to not get eaten...right away at least

haha no not that stock. A little while ago I saw a tank with a Jardini and i think a bunch of cardinals it looked pretty sweet having one big fish and all the smaller fish swimming around him. Im tyring to create kind of the same thing. with a Jardini

tfd has "jumbo" neons going for .50 a pop.... or exodons for $4, not too colorful but a fun schooling fish none the less.

Could you imagine $200 worth of neon tetras, now thats a school.

Ever try black ruby barbs? Similiar to tiger barbs except males get a purple head when females are present. Not as rowdy as tigers but active just the same. They look great when about 3 inches.
