Did you feeding them with pellets continuely right after you get them from Rich at 1.5-2inches??

nice cichlas indeed. BUT one lil problem thats putting you far from having a colorful tank... that weird reddish light washes out cichla's natural green sheen .... ( unless its ur camera, then nvm xD )

my light is screwed up, so I am going to have to order a new light soon.
It bothers me, plus the camera was kinda weird. They both contributed into these weird colors. I am going to buy a 10,000 and a 6,500k light fixture and add some green plants(live) to my tank when I buy the light.

well, neverdid constantly, just as a treat.
Mainly increased pellet size.

yea, they do look somewhat better, I am getting a new light.
