Colour Development of Festae

The bottom photo is breeding the other two is what they look like on any average day.
You can see the bars on the male while breeding and not normally.
Then on the female you can see the black bars during breeding and they look blue while she is just relaxed.
 
is there much colour difference in the areas they are collected from? have read that fish from peru rio tumbs are best colour?

and will I have to move the sub dominant fish out my tank at some point to stop any damage/killings

As for color from collections point they can vary.
Which point is best I don't know. It may also be a matter of opinion as well.
The answer to your second question is yes. Once a pair forms they will claim a territory the others will be pushed away. If the tank is larger enough they may not kill each other but life will not be pleasant for the others.
