I cannot believe the growth on these guys the past two months especially... just started adding salt to convert tank eventually.. they are almost a foot.

Nice! I love those fish.I have a little school of 6 myself.Mine range fron 3-4.5" though. You have to use salt that is for salt water aquariums though.That aquarium salt does not raise your salinity.Just makes the water harder.

Thank you Chad.. i will look into it and see what salt he uses.. i just assumed it was Aquarium salt. I know he said he was doing it slowly.. adding a little more each week..Chad55;597913; said:

you can't create a brackish or marine environment with aquarium salt, which is only sodium chloride, while sea/marine salt has a ton of other mineral compounds... I'm not an expert with saltwater aquariums, but regular aquarium salt is no good.
