I would say you are safe....

I said give it a few days because i have yet to see a fish affected with ducklips survive. It it was columnaris it was alread dead, altough being alive, imho...

So, in your case, the fish showed you, quickly, it was not columnaris :)

Are you positive it is columnaris? I don't want to fret something that isn't there

I'm not sure, just going by what you posted. Like I said earlier, this happened to me many times and I've always lost the fish in a few days, it always seemed to be the most expensive fish too. The last time this happened to me was with an amph species, his lips were huge and sticking out when I got back from vacation, I turned the temps down and a few days later I noticed the lips slowing going back to normal, then I raised the temps back to normal and then it came back again, then I left the temps low for about a month and it went away. He is still in the tank and healthy.

That's what I'm thinking, thanks:) Just to be sure I'll add salt and melafix for the next few days to be safe.

Yeah that's why I was so paranoid to begin with lol, I am thinking it's most likely not though as his lips aren't really that big, and he is still acting 100% normal.

It looks to me as if it is some damage from sparring. Your fish doesn't show the distended lips which is present even in the earliest stages of columnaris (manifested as "ducklips"). As Duane alluded to, if your fish is able to close its mouth, breathe normally, is active and taking food, then it isn't columnaris.

Yeah I am positive it isn't columnaris. He has almost completely healed and is looking normal again.
Thanks
