Fish is isolated while I look into more answers. Sure hope some of the masters come through and help shine some light. Moved to a 29 for now gonna drop temp in the 210 but it'll take a few days I think
I just hope that is not what it is and some others will chime in with a solid analysis.
Me too man, I've got some serious emotional investment in my own stock. I'd be devastated if anything happens because of me trying to help another aquarist in need
I always take special care with the rescues often they are not well care for.... Hopefully it's just something that will pass and cause no harm to the remainder of the stock.
Bring the temperature down to less than 75F. Salt can also help slow down the infection, treating at 1-2 tablespoons per 5 gallons. I would try kanaplex and furan-2, treating the hospital tank water.
I would also start a daily methylene blue bath for 30 minutes for 7 days. Dose MB at 1ml per gallon. You can use old hospital tank water that is medicated with furan-2 and kanaplex. The bath must be thrown out after using.
Hopefully, the infection has not spread internally. GL.
