hey i couldnt help but notice, Is that a real plant growing on your tank
yap, it is a real money plant, i put it there so that it can help absorb some nitrate, or is it nitrite? haha. ya plants help to absorb in some of the toxic produced by the fishes..

just had to add , overhead filtration is common in asia. I have seen that since i was a little boy when i lived there. They just used plastic back in the day. Now its acrylic :)

As to why its very popular, im not sure. i can only think that its easy to make, saves space and provides good biological filtration.
Ya, i use it more of becoz, it saves space. I cant have a slump tank as i got a bottom teir also, i dont have space for external container filter. so i use a slump for both tier tanks. =) Its quite good for filteration, but i heard that still slump filters are the best.

Thanks bro free form, initially the pg wasnt in the tank, it was in the bottom teir, then i transfered the pg up and took pictures of it. After 2 days, i felt that the tank was abit cramp for all those fishes, so i transfered all the discus to be with the st's in the bottom teir. Now my current tank is the aro, rays and tig. Btw, Bio-home plus rocks, it really helped my filter, else before that when i had only those 3 rays, i had to change water like every 2 days, now just once or twice a week. I can see the difference in my fish health before i used bio-home plus and after..

thanks for the info bro. would love to see your tank in person. hahahaha.
